【英語】Natto : 納豆、日本の朝食には欠かせません !

Natto : Fermented Soybeans.

Many of you may say, “Wow, fermented beans? Can you really eat that?”
“Natto” surely has its peculiar smell and a kind of sliminess…
Even some Japanese, especially those living in the western part of Japan, are not so fond of it.

納豆を知らない方は、発行した豆を食べるの?と驚くかもしれません。
独特の臭いや、ぬるぬる感もあり、日本人でも口にしない人もいます。

 

But,”Natto” is often considered as ‘must-have’ food for a Japanese style breakfast.
“Natto”, together with other food made of soybeans, such as “Miso”,”Shoyu”(soy sauce),and “Tofu”, is highly valued from its nutrition qualities. “Natto” is also easily digested and absorb to your body.

ただし、納豆は、日本の朝食には欠かせない食べ物と考えている人も多いです。
味噌、醤油、豆腐など他の大豆製品とともに、栄養価が高く、消化吸収も優れていることから、高く評価されています。

 

How to eat?
Mix well with chopped green onions, soy sauce, and some “Karashi” (Japanese mustard), if you like, and serve on top of hot rice.
